I started my journey into the Beauty Industry almost 15 years ago, my background and training has primarily been in the field of Art and Design. I have attended Plymouth College of Art and Design and trained at The Regent Academy of Fine Arts in London. I originally wanted to become a Make-up Artist and practice Aesthetics, then I discovered Semi-Permanent Make-Up, a form of medical grade tattooing which has enabled me to produce natural looking cosmetic effects which last for years.

It is an amazing way to enhance and improve your appearance, best of all it is smudge proof, waterproof and lasts all day, everyday!

I started my SPMU training in 2004. After completing a foundation course in Anatomy and Physiology, I was accepted to begin my training with one of the country’s leading specialists Deborah Robson.

I embarked on a period of intensive practical training at the London Medical Centre in Harley Street, London and have been trained in the pioneering FAME® technique (facial aesthetic micro enhancement).

For the past 15 years whilst practicing SPMU, I have continued to train most years, to update my skills and techniques. I believe this is an industry that is constantly evolving. I have been privileged to train with some of the best people in the world. In 2014 I went to Belgrade to train in Micro-Blading with Branko Babic, now of PHI Brows fame.

In 2016 I trained with Sviatoslav Otchenash in Prague (Czech Republic) successfully completing Master Classes in Ombre techniques for Brows, Eyeliners and shadows as well as full lip colours.

In April 2020, I trained with the amazingly talented Nhung Phan in Vietnam, Nhung runs her own PMU academy and pioneered the famous Satori Technique, a method of creating Hyper-realistic Semi Permanent Brows.

During the Covid-19 Lockdown, I finally completed my Teacher training qualification, gaining a level 3 Award in Education and training. I am now an accredited training provider for 4t Medical Group and will continue to teach Semi Permanent Make-up, Skin Needling, Plasma Sublimation and advanced Anti-Ageing techniques.

This industry unfortunately does not have a governing body or strict regulation, however with my medical studies and training I am proud to maintain THE highest standards of safety and hygiene scoring 95% in my last Environmental Health inspection. Over the past 10 years, I have trained in various Anti-Ageing procedures, all using controlled trauma. I have undertaken intensive training and specialised in the study of the Skin and why it ages.

I believe the best way to slow down the ageing process is to use a more holistic approach and let the body heal itself… you will see results that are long lasting, not just a quick fix. The science behind these treatments is clinically proven, I would not endorse or practice any of these procedures otherwise.

After working for many years at the Hyde Park Clinic in Plymouth, I opened ‘Feature Perfect’ in 2013. A dedicated Anti Ageing Clinic in the Stoke area of Plymouth.

A note of caution…. PLEASE do your research, the Micro-Pigmentation industry is not heavily regulated and I see many ladies who have been elsewhere for their procedures and are far from happy. I have completed my advanced training in removal and correction techniques, but I believe there is no room for error; this is your face after all?
