How does LOII hair removal work?

LOII uses short, sate bursts of light emitted from a flash lamp to remove unwanted hair from the body within minutes. Light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft, where it heats and destroys the hair. If the hair is in growth stage [anagen], the heat is transmitted down the hair shaft to lining the follicle shaft. Hair caught in the growth stage will not grow again. Other follicles, which are not actively growing may produce new hair. These follicles will need to be targeted in the growth stage to effect follicle damage.

How does LOII lPL/RF Combination work?

The basis tor permanent hair reduction is to cause irreversible damage of the hair follicle by heating it, but not burning the surrounding tissues — this is achieved by the introduction of RADIO FREQUENCY [RF]. RF is not attracted to melanin of the hair follicle.

Are there any side effects?

Very rarely the skin may become lighter or darker, or some blistering may form. Change to skin texture and scarring is possible, though uncommon, and is more likely if any grazes or blistering are not left to heal naturally. There may be loss of the natural tanning ability in the area treated, which may improve with time.

How many treatments are necessary?

This depends on several factors, including the density, colour of inks and the age of the tattoo. Amateur tattoos can be quick to remove, taking 6 to 10 treatments, whereas professional tattoos vary considerably, some can take Up to 15 treatments but most will typically take 8 to 12 treatments.

How does it work?

How many treatments will I need?

What can I expect after treatment?

The treated area may be pink tor a short time after treatment, but this dissipates quickly. Normal activities can be resumed immediately and no special aftercare is required. Immediately alter treatment, skin elasticity and trimness will have improved.
